… She has the ability to always understand when she has to be invisible, when to give direction, when to say something encouraging, when to make a joke, when to hold a hand... We had the pleasure of having her support during a much-unwanted c-section and also during a newborn session a couple of weeks later. … As much as I did not want a c-section, these images allow me to see the beauty of it all and brought a peaceful closure to our birth story. To show how personable she is, I can simply say that my husband, not the biggest fan of photography sessions, said he would do one with her anytime.

Words cannot express how much we loved our experience with Dana. During our maternity and Fresh 48 photo sessions, we felt an instant connection with her. She made the whole process fun and super easy, which meant the world to us since our toddler was involved! We opted not to hire a birth photographer, but I really wish we would have hired Dana for that day as well. Her work is gorgeous, and an event like your baby's birth is something that deserves to be documented. I would enthusiastically recommend Dana Jacobs for anyone needing a photographer!

Cannot recommend Dana Jacobs Photography enough! From the beginning Dana was extremely professional and very responsive. She took our information and paid close attention to detail. Due to covid-19, restrictions were placed at the birthing center which meant Dana could not attend the birth. Dana was extremely flexible, she came to our house before we headed to the hospital and the next day for a fresh 48 session. Since she could not capture the birth she let my husband and doula borrow her camera so we could still capture those moments! Although we had to change our original plans, I’m so happy with how everything turned out! We truly got to capture the birth story from beginning to end. High-quality photos and amazing personal service! We will forever cherish these memories.

Dana provided our family with the most amazing photographs! We were lucky enough to share our maternity shoot, birthing experience, and fresh newborn session with her! My husband and I felt comfortable with Dana from the moment we met her and knew she was the perfect addition to our birthing team.
